Keane Automation’s vision for the business is to provide connection for your home or business connecting communities and village dwellings which will allow them to secure their business or homes, protect loved ones. Keane Automation means to do this all with the touch of finger on your smart phone, table, laptop or PC.
It is Keane Automation’s intention to install and service homes and businesses that provide security, lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and Cooling) and entertainment with the possibility of using video services to monitor pets, elderly and children from an app on a smart device. Video conferencing can help individuals that are home bound to interact safely with the outside world and not suffer from isolation.

Keane Automation will introduce inexpensive environmental and security systems. We can save money for consumers on monthly bills (by not having any). By introducing IP enabled devices for Security, Temperature Control, can access appliances and devices remotely putting the control in the hands of the homeowner. Such things as the Smart Thermostats will help owners save on heating costs by using digital and wireless controls that will communicate on the internet to regulate house temperatures when at home and when away. This is far better than the programmable thermostats for heating or cooling as they are not able to detect weather fluctuations such as unexpected January thaw or June cold snaps that we often have here in Toronto. Homes will start to use smart services and appliances that can interact with people, the world outside and even the electrical grid allowing clients to realize savings by selling energy back to the Utilities and reducing their carbon footprint.
Staff have experience at Network Engineers, Information and Building Security working in building controls that helped build state of the art Hospitals and Retrofitting century old Banks. Work managing a city wide network as well as assisting in building and delivering services for Ontarians under the guidance of Canada Infoway puts Keane Automation ahead of the curve. Participating in Research but very much hands on is where this venture stands out head above others.
With the proliferation of internet connected devices using cloud access, there is an opportunity to provide cost effective solutions for the regular home owner, he/she will not be on a contract to a large corporation that will bill by the month for a minimum of three years but only pay a one time installation fee.
Open source and custom off the shelf apps exist for tablets and smart phones for controllers that can be installed using wireless technologies or the existing electrical lines and outlets to send signals to devices for control or monitoring. Clients will need to have is DSL, fiber or cable modem internet connection in order to allow the smart device to access their controls. If they do not have internet then Keane Automation can help by recommending or building a network and internet presence. With reduced costs homeowners an businesses can make their home or office smarter for security or building automation functions.

Keane Automation will offer consulting and home installations on home automation products and solutions for energy reduction and savings by using green technologies to reduce carbon footprint and therefore realize reductions in costs for consumer and/or small business. This will be done per options given to the customer as to a customized solution (built using electronic controllers such as beagle black, arduino, raspberry pi open source controllers and customized open source software or Custom off the shelf products such as Insteon, X10, possibly Securifi’s Almond router , ELK, Microsoft R2 Studios, mControl v3 or DSC. The focus is to use these technologies with the customers’ existing internet connection and deliver the product and with a one time part and installation fee instead of a monthly bill that still allows remote connectivity, security monitoring and smart home automation needs that are equivalent or exceed what could be put on the market five years ago for approx. a 10th of the price world wide web to realize profit as good corporate citizens.
